Alternative Medicine vs Conventional Medicine

What is the difference between alternative medicine vs conventional medicine? A lot! For one thing, alternative medicine is natural and safe to use. Conventional medicine is not natural, is not safe, and definitely is not good for the body.

Alternative medicine uses the whole herb or the pure extract of the herb. Conventional medicine uses a small percentage of the herb with other harmful and toxic agents mixed in. This is why people have side effects when using many pharmaceuticals today. They aren’t natural! They are synthetic and created in a lab. Ultimately, it is a foreign substance that you are putting into your body. It is no wonder why the body reacts the way it does to these substances.

Alternative Medicine vs Conventional Medicine: Antibiotics

Let’s say you have a bladder infection and its not healing. You go to the doctor. The doctor is going to do what he does best. Prescribe antibiotics. The problem with that is antibiotics break down the body’s natural defense mechanisms. This may cause more sickness and disease later on down the road.

Homeopathic doctors all agree that pharmaceutical antibiotics do not cure urinary tract infections, but only suppress the symptoms. The alternative is to go natural.

Two excellent herbal remedies for bladder infection are Cantharis or Sarsaparilla. A great Chinese herbal concoction called Tao Chin Pien has also been known to be effective against bladder infections.

Several measures can be taken to prevent bladder infection. Drink lots of water throughout the day. Limit white flour and sugar foods. Cranberry juice (unsweetened) kills bacteria and should be drunk throughout the day as well.

Alternative Medicine vs Conventional Medicine: Acne

Acne is the most common skin disorder in America. The skin is a very important organ for the elimination of toxins.

If antibiotics and other conventional treatments clog up the pores, the toxins that the skin is trying to get rid of will go further into the body. Skin disorders such as acne start from the inside of the body. What are you eating?

The natural alternative for acne is an ancient Chinese remedy called Margarite Acne Pills. This is an all-natural and safe formula.

You should never put anything topical on the face or anywhere on the skin that is not natural. Everything we rub onto our body gets absorbed into the bloodstream causing worse problems than just acne.

For recurring acne check to see if it is a food allergy. Common culprits are chocolate, nuts, eggs, and cola drinks. Teenagers have oily skin while they go through puberty.

The best thing for their skin is to wash it two or three times a day with a mild soap and water. This keeps the skin clean and dry. It allows the skin to breathe and eliminate toxins from the body naturally.

Alternative Medicine vs Conventional Medicine: High Cholesterol

High cholesterol is considered to be an illness by conventional doctors. They usually prescribe cholesterol lowering drugs. Natural doctors consider high cholesterol to be from a poor diet that can be treated with knowledge and diet.

Cholesterol lowering drugs are very bad for your health and can cause numerous side effect symptoms. Some of these are depression, psychosis, suicidal and violent tendencies.

Many practitioners say that cholesterol is good for us. Our body needs some cholesterol. See the source at the end of the article for more information.

Alternative Medicine vs Conventional Medicine: Constipation

Constipation is almost always caused because of a poor diet. Laxatives eventually cause constipation.

This happens because a person gets so used to using laxatives that they can’t go to the bathroom without taking them. The drug called Exlax is so bad for your health that they had to be pulled off the shelf! What does that tell you?

The alternative to constipation is to eat more roughage in your diet. Eating lots of fresh, whole foods such as raw fruits, vegetables, greens, and fiber rich grain foods several times a week will keep the bowels doing their job properly.

Grain foods can include brown rice, oats, and legumes. A popular herbal tea that is safe and natural is called Smooth Move. It is made with Senna leaf.

Foods to avoid are those that clog you up. That would be ALL of the refined flour foods. If it is not made with whole wheat or another whole grain, then expect to be constipated.
