Benefits Of Good Nutrition
There are many benefits of healthy eating. I have written about certain benefits throughout this website in different articles. Now I will try to talk about others. Benefits I may not have yet mentioned.

Losing Weight
One of the main benefits of healthy eating and that people are probably most interested in is weight loss. You can’t be fat and eat healthy at the same time. If you think you are eating healthy, but are still fat, you need to reconsider your diet.
Eating healthy goes hand in hand with losing weight. This is mainly due to the higher nutrient dense food and lower calorie food that comes from eating healthy.
For example, one the top healthiest foods is fruit. The benefits of eating fruit are many. Fruit is loaded with nutrients and has fewer calories than most other foods. Incorporating fruit into your diet will enhance weight loss naturally.
Lymph System
When the body is given good, healthy food, everything in it starts to work better. The lymph system, which is the garbage collector works at a higher efficiency. This is very important because the body is always in a state of metabolism.
The waste products resulting from this need to be carried out and the lymph system is in charge of this. When the lymph system is not as effective, the body tends to get sick.
Besides the lymph system, all the other systems in the body will improve. The body is a magnificent organism. If you think about it, there are many activities your body is in the process of doing. All of these will now be done more efficiently. The importance of healthy eating affects you in all aspects.
Cardiovascular System
For example, your cardiovascular system will work better. It will be able to supply all the cells of the body with good oxygenated blood. All of the organs the body uses for elimination will work better.
Even the reproductive system will work better. I have read where certain couples have not been able to have a baby regardless of what the doctors can do. However, after improving their diets with the consumption of healthier food, they were able to have a baby.
Improved Senses
The benefits of healthy eating continue with improved senses. People who have not been able to hear so well will have an improvement in their hearing. Those who can’t see so well have an improvement in their eyesight. Especially when it comes to night blindness.
Higher Intelligence
Part of the benefits of healthy eating also includes an improvement in intelligence. Most people think that the level of intelligence you get when you are born is what you will have all your life.
However, with the consumption of healthier food comes better vitamins and minerals. The brain is affected by what we eat and drink.
To illustrate this, there was a particular study done with schoolchildren. The study wanted to show how the intelligence of these schoolchildren improved with optimal intake of vitamins and minerals.
The study was conducted by Gwillym Roberts, a school teacher and nutritionist from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, and Professor David Benton who is a psychologist from Swansea University.
They took thirty schoolchildren and placed them on a special multivitamin and mineral supplement in order to give them an optimal intake of nutrients. They took another thirty schoolchildren and gave them a placebo.
After eight months of being on this supplementation, the nonverbal IQs of the schoolchildren taking the supplement had increased by over ten points! There weren’t any changes from the schoolchildren that were only taking the placebo.
This same study has been done many times since the first one with similar results. Many have been done with supplements that only have the recommended daily allowance, RDA. However, there are still improvements in IQs by an average of four to five points.
Don’t think this will only affect schoolchildren. Studies have also been done with adults. Intelligence does improve by eating healthier food that have better vitamins and minerals.
You may ask how does healthy eating improve one’s IQ. The answer is with nutrient dense foods you can think faster and concentrate for longer periods of time.
There are many more benefits of healthy eating that I have not yet talked about. There is so much material available that volumes can be written about it. What I write about are just samples of these benefits.
As usual, try to eat as much organic foods as possible. It has been shown time and again that organic food contains more and better nutrients than normal conventional food.
