- 1 tbsp soy milk powder + 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg
- 1 banana = 1 egg in cakes
- 1 tbsp milled flax seed and 3 tbsp water = 1 egg. Light, fluffy cakes!
Just White Egg Substitutes
This is a product that is all natural and cholesterol free. It’s made from 100% dried egg whites. It is called Just Whites and these dried eggs can be used in replacement of the whole egg.
Egg whites are where all of the protein of the egg is and also what makes the egg so good for your health in the first place.
I have used Just Whites egg powder and it works excellent – you can’t even tell there is no yoke in your recipes. Two teaspoons is equivalent to one whole egg, contains no artificial flavorings, colorings, additives or preservatives.
Substituting Eggs with Using Tofu
Who would have thought that something like tofu could replace an egg and be used in an egg substitute recipe? Well, apparently it is the best egg replacement for dishes such as quiches, frittata, and egg salads.
As opposed to liquid eggs, tofu mimics the look and feel of a boiled egg in many dishes that call for hard cooked eggs.
