Fast Food Changed My Life

by sashidhar
(bangalore,karnataka,india)

For many years I was addicted to fast food. Fast food is like a delicious poison. If any one falls into its trap, it is very difficult to come out from it. I was one of the victims of this fast food habit.

I used to eat fast food at least one time per day, but slowly it became a poison for my health. When I thought to recover from its effects, it was too late. I was already suffering from various diseases caused by obesity, which fast food contributed to. I was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. This resulted in cutting down my fast food habits.

A few years ago, I weighed more than 100 kilos. But after three years of diet and exercise my weight is now 80 kilos. I worked very hard to reduce my weight but even now I am not out of danger.

I still have the same problems of high blood pressure and diabetes. Diabetes is a very dangerous disease because once you get affected from it, it is nearly impossible to be get cured from it. Though it does not kill you instantly, it’s like a slow poison. It affects your health slowly, day by day. So my advice to everyone is to stay away form fast food.

I think you did a great job losing all that weight. I have a difference in opinion when it comes to diabetes though. I believe one can cure diabetes by diet alone, as long as it hasn't progressed to a stage where it is no longer responsive. But then again, at what point will that be at? I guess no one will ever know except for the individual that has diabetes and is trying to control it and cure it by diet.
