Most fast food is bad for your health. Ground beef is okay to eat once in awhile in moderation, but I wouldn’t make a habit of eating beef every day.
Studies have proven that vegetarians and those people who only eat poultry, fish, and turkey, with small amounts of beef are healthier. They have lower cholesterol levels, less digestive disturbances, and way less colon cancer incidence.
Animal fat is what should be eaten in small quantities. Deep-fried foods like French fries, chicken nuggets, deep fried chicken and fish for sandwiches are all very bad on the arteries.
And what do most toddlers eat when they go out to fast food? Deep-fried chicken nuggets and deep-fried French fries. On top of all that, drinking sugary soda pop! Yikes!
This is starting young people to adapt to these types of unhealthy foods and stick their noses up at healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables. No wonder America is sick and obese!
Although we all need fat to sustain the body, there is a big difference between good fats and bad fats. This is what you need to know.
An adult only needs about 30 grams of good fat a day. But what is happening is they are getting way more than that every day from bad fats! This is another reason why fast food is bad.
A quarter pounder with cheese has 535 calories and 258 of those calories are from fat! Plus it has 29 grams of fat, which is bad for you fat. Remember, the body only needs 30 grams of good fat to be healthy.
Good fat comes in raw oils such as Extra Virgin cold pressed Olive oil and cold pressed Safflower oil. Nuts and seeds also have good fats, as does avocados, olives and fish. These fats should be eaten every single day.
What toddler doesn’t want to go to fast food and get their little meal with a surprise toy hidden inside? Then these young people grow into teenagers and they are still frequenting the fast food joints with their friends.
Do you see how eating fast food can become a bad habit? When you’re young, you can get away with eating greasy, sugary foods. However, pretty soon it will catch up to you.
Fast food is addicting. Studies have shown that eating unhealthy fare makes people want to come back for more of this fattening food. The body will literally crave a greasy cheeseburger and fries.
But anyone who continually eats out in fast food is setting themselves up for clogged arteries, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, toxic overload, and lets not forget, the dreaded weight gain.
Fast food and obesity go hand in hand. When half of the daily calories that a person needs are eaten from a small cheeseburger, you can certainly see why it causes weight gain and other complications later on down the road. You would be better off making your own burger at home, once in while.
Unfortunately, many folks in America have become dependent on fast food dining because it is fast and it’s convenient. Fast food is addicting not just because of the food, but because it is convenient to people’s pocket book as well as place of work.
But are there other ways that people can still get these benefits, but eat a healthier lunch? Sure there is.
There are far better ways to eat and still make it convenient and money saving. If you must go out to fast food once in awhile, only eat foods that are grilled and not fried. This can be a grilled chicken salad or sandwich.
Some days of the week you can either bring your own soup or salad from home, or you can find a sit down restaurant that serves healthy fare.
Don’t let yourself become addicted to the conveniences of fast food. There are other options. Sometimes we have to choose health over convenience. If you think it is already too late and you’ve gained needless weight from too much fast food, you can opt to do a colon cleanse and clean out your system.
Fast food is bad due to the cravings it creates. Doing a colon cleanse and eliminating toxins will take the cravings for greasy and sugary food away from you. It will also get you back on track to getting healthy once again.
It is never too late to make wise choices for yourself. Choosing a good colon cleanser, such as Psyllium Husks will surely give you your health back.
