Healthy Diet Plans
In society today, healthy diet plans are hard to stick with. We live in a day of ever increasing fast food restaurants and eateries. On top of that, junk food abounds in virtually every store that sells food.
This is unfortunate when considering the fast pace of society, which makes it convenient to partake of the above mentioned food. With this in mind, most people’s diet plans are usually deficient when it comes to providing what their bodies need.
A Flawed Attempt
Most people do actually feel guilty about the way they eat, knowing that it isn’t the healthiest. As a result, some do make an attempt to eat better, especially when they feel their clothing starting to tighten.
However, most are easily derailed when the appetite takes control and all sanity is lost at the first sight of the next promotion at McDonalds or Burger King for a two for one special on their hamburgers.
But there is hope for those of us who succumb to the temptations of the greasy spoon. Yes, I’m including myself in this. I’m far from perfect.
Helpful Suggestions
Here are a few suggestions on how to develop healthy diet plans.
- Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, legumes, and seeds.
- Eat plenty of good fats such as from fish., ie. salmon.
- Cook with olive oil. Extra virgin is best.
- Limit your consumption of red meat.
- Write your healthy diet plans on paper.
- Eat more live foods than dead food. Live foods are foods that are uncooked. These foods still contain their natural living enzymes.
These enzymes are important because they help you to digest your food. Ever notice how long it takes to digest cooked food versus
uncooked food? The difference is in the enzymes.
- Pack your food to take with you if you will be away from home when you eat. This not only helps to keep you on your healthy diet plan, but it also saves you money.
This doesn’t mean you can never eat out again. There are many health conscious restaurants that have opened that will meet the needs of someone trying to eat from a healthy diet plan.
- Above all, try to eat organic food as much as possible. This may be a little more costly, but the benefits far outweigh the costs.
Sticking With It
You will find that sticking to a healthy diet plan becomes easier with time. As the benefits of eating healthy become more noticeable, you will develop a deeper resolve to continue to eat healthy.
Body Fat and Toxins
One of the most noticeable benefits will be in the change of your appearance. Not only will your mirror compliment you, but you will also get compliments from others you know.
Eating healthy will help you control your weight. Because your body is continually trying to reach homeostasis, you won’t be overweight or underweight. You will attain the perfect weight for your body.
Controlling your weight is very beneficial. The denser you are with excess fat, the more toxins you have in your body. The more toxins you have, the more potential you have for developing illness.
Toxins love to reside in fat. That means they’re not going anywhere unless you metabolize the fat, therefore decreasing the amount of toxins.
You will develop more energy. The more energy you have, the more active you will do. The more active you are, the healthier you will become. Activity helps to cleanse the system.
The Lymphatic System
Throughout your body are little valves called lymphatic valves. These are different than your heart valves that open and close with the flow of blood. These valves open and close as your body works against gravity.
For example, the up and down movement your body creates as you move or exercise opens and closes these valves.
Your lymphatics are essentially your garbage collectors. When the lymphatic valves open and close, they move this garbage along certain pathways. In the end these pathways help distribute this garbage to areas of your body that help get rid of it.
Another benefit you may notice is a change in your mood. You will be more positive and happier.
These are only a few of the benefits you will notice when you adopt a good wholesome healthy diet plan. By the way, the best time to begin healthy eating is now.
