Healthy Eating Diet Advice: New Diet Plans

Sample Diet Plans

The best healthy eating diet advice is to only eat whole foods that are preferably organic. If you cannot afford organic fruits and vegetables, be sure to get them as fresh as possible.

This is your first step toward eating healthy and staying healthy. Eating whole foods work best when losing weight and maintaining health.

Healthy Eating Diet Advice: Organic

Always shop for organic products if at all possible. Organic tastes better and is healthier, because they are free of chemicals. Make sure the products that say they are organic are truly organic.

Here’s how to tell if they are certified organic. Look for the 100% organic label certification on the product. It should say USDA Organic or say it is certified from your local state somewhere on the product label.

Healthy Eating Diet Advice: Whole Foods

Always eat the whole food versus the broken down product. For instance eat the whole orange rather than a glass of orange juice.

Eat the whole apple rather than applesauce made with high fructose corn syrup or other refined sugar. Eat the whole potato instead of the flakes. Eat whole wheat rather than white bread.

Healthy Eating Diet Advice: Eat Breakfast

Do not skip breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, even if it is only a piece of fruit or some nuts and raisins. Eating breakfast will give you the energy you will need until lunchtime.

Breakfast should be highly nutritious. A piece of fruit first and then maybe a piece of whole-wheat toast and an egg. Fruit is an essential part of a healthy diet, so eating fruit first thing in the morning is a good idea.

Allow at least 15 minutes for the fruit to digest into your system before eating solid foods.

Healthy Eating Diet Advice: Food Servings

The most efficient means for the body to stay healthy and maintain a beneficial diet is to eat four or five smaller meals or snacks throughout the day, rather than eating lots of food at two meals.

This means to limit your food intake at meals times to one portion and don’t go for seconds. Your body utilizes nutrients better from the foods you eat when it isn’t working so hard to digest a huge, improperly combined meal.

An improperly combined meal is a protein mixed with a starch. The two when eaten together cause irritable bowl syndrome because the food putrefies in your stomach before it gets a chance to digest.

If you want to eat a steak or some chicken, don’t eat a starchy food with it. If you want to eat pasta or potatoes, don’t eat chicken or steak with it at the same meal.

Healthy Eating Advice: Five Meals In A Day

  • Brunch: Granola, yogurt, fruit and nut mix, or whole grain breads and crackers.
  • Lunch: Veggie sandwich on whole wheat or big salad.
  • Dinner: Chicken, fish, or lean meat with steamed vegetables.
  • Snack: Popcorn, granola, no bake energy bars, fruit and nut mix, etc.
