Great Healthy Eating Tips

There are many healthy eating tips, however I’m only going to discuss a few of the more important ones here. More tips can be found on other pages of this website as well as on other websites on the internet. Take them to heart and become a healthier individual.

  • One of the best healthy eating tips is to avoid eating sugar or at least limit it as much as possible. Eating sugar can cause diabetes, tooth decay, heart disease, and immune dysfunction, which can lead to more colds, getting the flu, and other immune related diseases

  • Avoid eating white flour. White flour is processed and can act like sugar. It can cause a spike in blood sugar levels and eventually promote diabetes.

    It also has very, very little fiber. Not eating enough fiber can result in constipation, hemerhoids (i.e. hemorrhoids), colitis and rectal cancer

  • Eat healthy oils. You can get this from high quality olive oil, such as extra virgin, and flaxseed oil.

    You can also get this from fresh, unprocessed, organic food in it’s natural state like raw seeds, raw nuts, and avocados. You can also get these oils from fish. These oils are good for cell membranes and can decrease heart disease

  • Avoid eating processed foods if possible. Many of the nutrients these foods originally had have been taken out of them through processing.

    As a result, your stomach might feel full, but because of the limited amount of nutrients in the food, you will still feel hungry. If you want to lose or maintain your weight, avoid eating processed food

  • Cut down on the amount of meat you eat or don’t eat any at all. Meat, especially red meat, takes a longer time to digest properly and move through your intestines.

    This can result in a higher level of toxicity in your bowels, which can lead to colon cancer. For protein concerns, eat soy foods, beans, peas, whole grains, and nuts

  • One of the best healthy eating tips is to drink plenty of water. We lose about two quarts of water in various ways each day. We lose water just by breathing.

    Exhale on a window pane and you could see the moisture that comes out of each breath. The recommendation is to drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water each day. That is equal to two quarts.

    This is only a recommendation and will vary from individual to individual. All of our bodily functions are dependant on water. Drinking water even helps us in losing weight

  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, preferably organic. These foods are very Alkaline if eaten from their natural state. They help to offset the very acidic environment in our bodies.

    Most of the unhealthy food people eat creates an acid environment in the body. This type of environment breeds disease. If fruits and vegetables were to be cooked, they would add to the acidity in the body.

    So eat them raw, as in salads, if possible. They also contain a ton of nutrients including antioxidants, which are very good for you

  • As much as possible, eat a diet of organic whole grains, nuts, seeds, beans, fruits, and vegetables. A diet with these foods will make and keep you healthier than many other types of diets

The preceding healthy eating tips are some of the more important ones in my opinion. There are many more, but adhering to these will help keep you healthy and vibrant as you go about your life.
