How I Came to Want My Own Healthy Eating Plan

by Tiffany
(Piqua, Ohio, USA)

My husband and I enjoy watching documentarys, and recently have watched several on food and the food industry. We were absolutely shocked by what we learned about additives, MSG, artificial sweeteners, and fast food hamburgers. As a result we decided to form our own healthy eating plan.

This plan began by cutting out most processed foods (of course it's nearly impossible to cut it all out), and especially avoiding any foods with MSG. We try to eat organic fruit and vegetables as much as possible, and have began taking vitamin D3 in the winter to avoid getting sick (A lot of sicknesses in the winter are caused by a lack of vitamin D because people aren't in the sun as much). We have also begun juicing vegetables.

An ideal day would look something like this:

Breakfast: Oatmeal with blueberries
Green Tea with honey

Mid-morning: Carrot, green pepper, and tomato juice

Lunch: Spaghetti made with whole wheat pasta
Spinach salad
Garlic bread (made on whole wheat)
Milk

Dinner: Chicken, rice, and broccoli
Milk

Snack: Popcorn

As you can see this isn't an extreme diet, but provides us with a lot of good foods. Hope this helps anyone looking to start their own healthy diet plan.
