Headaches can come on all of a sudden, without warning. They can also come on more slowly. They can start out as a dull ache. Then reaching to what some call a migraine headache. Everyone gets headaches from time to time, even healthy people.
Headaches are caused from many different things. Some of the most common causes are:

- Illness
- PMS
Having a headache just means your blood vessels are dilated and when they constrict it causes the pain you feel. Several remedies work for a headache. The minute you feel the headache coming on, lie down in a cool, dark room. Place a cold washcloth over your forehead, and try to sleep. Once you wake up, the headache should be gone.

Methods of Alternative Medicine For Premenstrual Syndrome
PMS is an annoying condition that most women experience once a month. The symptoms will vary in different individuals but the most common are:
- Fatigue
- Moodiness
- Bloatedness
- Water retention
- Pelvic pain
- Lower back pain
- Cramps
- Headache
- Sugar cravings
PMS symptoms let us know that our hormones are out of whack.
First mistake is “giving in” to our sugar cravings. Once we start eating a bunch of sugar and refined flour products, it only makes PMS symptoms worse. The healthier a woman is before her menstrual cycle, the less PMS symptoms she will experience.
Walking and staying active during menstruation also helps with the cramps a great deal. Cramping means the blood is not moving and it is clotting up somewhere in the system.
If you suffer from bad cramps during your period, try jumping on the trampoline, or do some sit-ups or brisk walking. Get your blood moving and the cramps will move right along also.
The bottom line is, if you want to experience less PMS symptoms, then eat a wholesome diet and stay physically active. It will fly by seamlessly.
Methods of Alternative Medicine For Sensitive Gums
Have you ever suffered from gum sensitivity? It hurts to brush your teeth. This may sound controversial to you but gum sensitivity may be caused from the fluoride in your toothpaste.
Try a little experiment for one or two months and see for yourself. Buy some Toms all natural toothpaste (make sure you get the one without fluoride) from Wal-Mart and brush your teeth with it for two months.
Or you can make your own toothpaste with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Make a paste with the two ingredients.
Did you have any gum sensitivity while brushing without fluoride? Now for two weeks brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste again. Did the gums start to hurt again? You be the judge.
Gum health can be a daunting task, but if we want to stay away from dentures, we should floss. Flossing at least once a day makes the gums stronger and helps to prevent gingivitis.
Vitamin C is a much-needed vitamin for healthy gums. Lemon, limes, oranges and grapefruits are loaded with Vitamin C.
Methods of Alternative Medicine For Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Most everyone has experienced some form of irritable bowel syndrome. It’s caused from eating something that did not agree with them, eating too much, or improperly combining food groups. For those individuals who frequently experience symptoms of IBS, it could mean you are overloaded with toxins and need to use a colon cleanser.
Colon cleansing is beneficial to your body, especially your digestive tract. Once the system is free of toxins and you begin to eat a wholesome diet while combing your foods properly, you should very rarely experience irritable bowel symptoms.
