I am sharing on how I deal with health, my health problem, and how I continue to gain a fit and healthy body and a great lifestyle.
As a Filipino, our staple food here in the Philippines is rice. We do not feel satisfied with our meal if we haven't consumed a meal for the day without having a rice paired with cooked fish, vegetables, poultry, meat, seafoods, etc.
As a woman, I am very conscious of my body image, I don't want to get fat. I think we all are concerned about this. I would even weigh myself every morning before breakfast to see if I have either lost or gained weight.
My goal is to stay fit due to being prone to tonsillitis and problems such as the flu. As we all know, these conditions are due to a low immune system and results in some viruses that attack our bodies. I've even experienced having tonsillitis more than 5 times in a year, which is not very healthy.
So to stay fit and to avoid this condition, I eat right. Yes! I eat even though I aim to lose weight but I try and eat right. I eat a balanced diet every day, which consists of 5-6 servings of carbohydrates like rice, bread, cereal, rotcrops, etc.
My protein will come from lean meat, fish and poultry. The meat I eat is just about the size of the palm of my hand.
I eat plenty of vegetables and also fruit. I use little or no edible oil and sugar. I drink 8-12 glasses of water everyday. I also workout 3-4 times a week about 30 minutes per session. Now, I have a healthy body without depriving myself of food.
