Certified Organic Cat Food: Organic Natural Cat Food

The Feline Raw Diet

Homemade organic cat food is good for your cat’s health. In fact your pets can be eating just as healthy as people when you feed them organic foods.

Many of the commercially prepared pet foods are not suitable for your pet to eat to maintain proper health. Cats especially need a nutritionally sound diet to keep them free of sickness and cat diseases.

Organic Cat Food: Meats

Believe it or not, your cat will do well eating fresh poultry and fish with a little whole grains. Cats also love organ meats like liver, heart and gizzards. There is no special cooking or seasoning involved when feeding your cat human food.

Simply boil or bake it and give it to your cat. No need to season with salt or pepper either. Just give it to them unseasoned.

It’s easy to feed your cat. You can also make your cat special protein cat biscuits. Add some whole grains to the dough for a fiber rich treat your cat will love. Mash up some organic organ meats, fish, or poultry.

Mix in a cup of water, an egg, some brown rice or some corn meal. Then add some whole-wheat flour to get dough like consistency and shape into little bite-sized cookies or biscuits. Bake for ten or fifteen minutes in a 350-degree oven. Your cat will love these cat protein treats.

Organic Cat Food: Vegetables

Healthy meals for your cat do not have to be just meat and whole grains. Cats aren’t big veggie eaters like dogs, but you can find ways to get your cat to eat some vegetables.

Cats will eat soft boiled vegetables like carrots, corn, and peas if they are smashed up and mixed into their other food. But you don’t want to add too much vegetable or else they will snub their noses at it. Their food should be ¾ meat to ¼ vegetable or whole grain.

Additionally you can add vegetables into the cat treats when you make them. Cats are pickier eaters than dogs, so you will need to experiment and see what your cat loves.

Once you figure out what vegetable they like, you can then add it into their healthy eating plans. As most people know, organically grown foods are much better for humans and it is the same way with our pets. You can buy organic cat food for your pet at the grocery store or health food store.

A Cats Healthy Lifestyle

Unhealthy cats have dull fur coats and they may even begin to lose their fur. They may lose vitality and that loving playfulness that cats have. Have you ever noticed how a cat’s eye can sparkle and glow? That sparkle to their eyes may grow dull and tired looking.

Cats can become sick easy when they are deficient in nutrients. Some people say that vegetables go right through a cat before the vitamins are absorbed into their system. This is why it is important to give your cat a good one-a-day vitamin.

Even if you think your cat is receiving appropriate amounts of nutrition from their food, it is still wise to give your cat a multi-vitamin supplement. Cats also like fresh grass. The truth is that cats eat grass now and again because it helps to keep parasites and other harmful bacteria in the gut at bay.

It also helps with their digestion. Sometimes your cat eats grass because they need to throw up a fur ball. Cats have a finicky digestive tract. It is a good idea to have some fresh cut grass handy for your indoor cats.
